Week Eighteen Letter- Chickens!

NiHao Everybody!

Another Week! Its hard to believe that we're already in March!
This week has been a little slow at times, but has involved a lot and has helped me to reflect on some of the blessings Heavenly Father has sent me in my life. It has (again...) been wet at times, but we manage.

One of the highlights of the week was a lesson we had with Sister Luo, who is a convert to the church of about a year. She was one of the first people I met in Union City, and was a very worried and careful person upon our first exchange. As she approached Elder Li and I for the lesson at the local library, she was a completely different person! She had just returned from China where she was visiting her family for Chinese New Year, and could not stop talking about how happy she was. Elder Li and I used that opportunity to talk about how families are more that just a social unit here on earth; they were ordained to make us happy now and FOREVER. Isn't that awesome? Families really are the most important thing, and I love that a major part of our message is that we get to tell people that their families can be theirs for time and all eternity!

We also did more service with Elaine this week, which involved picking up her yard and moving her chicken coups. She used to own chickens and wants to start again. After we were done, she talked our ears off about Tammy, Baby, and Emmy among others for ages. We love her to bits!

We also had a pretty fun Saturday night (I mean, as fun as you can get as a missionary)! We have an investigator who we're trying to "pick up" again, and thought we would try to find some activities to do with him that he might enjoy. This weekend we took Aaron to Temple Hill to watch the performance of the Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra. They played a special "space-themed" program, which included music from ET, Star Trek, and Star Wars. Not only that, they'd invited a professional cosplay troupe to come a display their incredible Star Wars costumes! It was pretty awesome to see Stormtroopers and Darth Vader and R2-D2 strolling down the isles of the auditorium!

I hope you all are doing well, are safe, and happy! I love and miss you all and think about you on a daily basis. Have an amazing week!
